Hello my precious readers :) Happy New Year and welcome into 2026!! Crazy how the time goes by...
Sorry that I haven't written more blogs in 2025, in all honesty, I simply had no time or energy. As much as
I love messing around with this website, sitting down and adding a new blogpost is a little time consuming.
Plus, knowing me, I always want to improve this website with each update that I do. This time, I am not yet sure
what I will implement, probably only something minor, as I am not super motivated to add any of the features in my
to-do list, like image thumbnails and hovering, as that would be a biiig job.
But anyways!
Honestly, a lot of things. One major thing is that I no longer work at my gamedev job anymore, since the end of November.
(I don't want to go into too many details, but basically the entire company shut down and we were all let go).
So yea, I am currently job-hunting for a full-time position. Refreshed all my CVs and Linedins and portfolio websites.
Sending out applications. Going on interviews and recruiter calls.
In the meantime, I accepted a part-time position at a small indie studio! So small, in fact, that there's only one
full-time employee :D It's not much, but it will help me for the next couple months to get by.
I am also also still working on my personal game, though not much progress has been done on it, just lore writing,
planning out the environment / level, and some visual exploration. I will make a separate blogpost on just the game
in the future, and include some sketches and lore.
Thirdly, I accepted to help a friend of mine with their secret project, and I won't be talking about it like ever,
but I plan to help them out for at least a year with the development. :p If you think I am crazy for filling my time
with so many projects, don't worry. I'm not done yet :)
OH yes baby. In between all the chaos of losing a job and keeping busy with game projects, I also managed to find time
to make way more garments than I ever made. I honestly haven't taken pictures of all of them so I apologize, but I will try to list
them anyways.

... I may be a little crazy.
I also now have way too much yarn, a bunch of new crochet hooks, and a set of circular knitting needles that you
can swap out. My boyfriend and cousin were super sweet and gifted me yarn store coupons (well, boyfriend basically
was just, "get anything you want under 50 Euros and I will pay for it"). So you know I had to go a little wild...
And yeah, I picked up knitting again! Knitting honestly used to piss me off, and still does a little bit, but I
have been enjoying it so far. Keeping tension is much harder in knitting than it is in crochet, because crochet is
much more forgiving. And the metal needles feel very slippery and unstable still, for me. But, I am in love with
how yarn-saving knitting is (crochet in comparison seems to swallow up the yarn at impossible rates). And I love
the clean, smooth look of knit pieces like socks or sweaters. I absolutely HATE double pointed needles, and will do
everything I can in my power to avoid using them. Buuut yeah :) My first pair of socks that I ever knit was actually
pretty okay, apart from the fact that I knit it too big and had to go back in and redo the toe area smaller, after I had
finished both of the socks, washed and weaved in the ends... Oh well. I know now how much room the toe area takes up,
so I can estimate and be the sock knitting pro :) My next quest shall be fingered gloves...
Finally, I want to share with y'all what I have baked today! I tried my hands at an authentic American apple pie.
I even tried to do the lattice top crust, of which I am quite proud of. It made the entire apartment smell so sweet
and buttery as it was baking in the oven...
I followed this recipe from Del's Cooking Twist.
In my humble opinion, it turned out absolutely great :)
