In this page, you can find many recipes that I have gathered over the years. I have categorized them into
3 sections: My favourite recipes (stuff I have made many times, which absolutely rocks),
Tried and tested (stuff I made before that are worth checking out),
and Recipes I want to try (stuff that looks absolutely delicious, but
I can only take other people's opinions on the actual taste).
The list includes interesting recipes that I found on the internet, recipes that I modified and perfected myself, and recipes
that friends sent to me at some point in my life. If you try any of these, please let me know in the comment box
at the bottom of this page. Also let me know about any of the recipes in the tried categories, if you are stuck,
I may be able to help!
Anyways, enough blabbering :) Here are the recipes!
Taiwanese braised minced pork -
my favourite dinner to make when I can't think of what to make. All you really need is pork and rice :)
[LT] Kefyro panakota su braškėmis -
Okay, when I say everyone needs to try this recipe, I mean EVERYONE! It's the perfect hot summer day dessert -
light, fluffy, lightly sweet, tangy, and fruity. I never knew you could make something like this with
kefir until I found this recipe.
[LT] Citrininis pyragas (lemon cake) - my
go-to lemon cake recipe, made it 1000 times. Slightly on the drier side, that's why soaking it with lemon juice
afterwards is very important. Perfect for loaf pans and cupcakes
Orange cookies with Ermine frosting - very yummy, crumbly cookies with a pleasant orange flavor.
The frosting really is the star of the show, paired with the orange peel in the cookies, the buttery flavours just melt in your mouth.
Coconut Ginger Chickpeas and Tomatoes - I made this recipe without the coconut milk (I added a bit of regular milk)
and without the ginger (added chinese five spice instead), and it was still good :) very filling and yet
still light.
Orange brown butter shrimp pasta -
Ok, the one time I made it, I messed up badly, but it is no fault of the recipe. Overall it's a very
interesting spin of pasta scampi with orange flavoured sauce.
Crumble pie (by Kaja) - a friend gave me this recipe. It is by law
that I must try it. Also crumble pies are so nostalgic to me, reminds me of kindergarten :)
Danish caramelized potatoes -
I learnt that these exist not too long ago, and was very shocked. Now I must try it, maybe beside some
roast or steak.
German chocolate cake -
I will be making this recipe for my next birthday. Mark my words.
Chicken, Beans and Rice -
I know there's nothing too special about chicken, beans and rice, but this version seemed so well-rounded and
delicious, that I had to save it.
[LT] Drėgna bananų duona -
Pretty sure my boyfriend suggested we make it someday, and I agree, we should :p
Red velvet cake - my birthday cake will be a red velvet some year.
Italian lemon cookies - around 7 or 8 years ago, my mom bought me a bag of lemon cookies with a
lemon frosting filling, and a chocolate drizzle on top. They were so fucking good, and I couldn't
find them anywhere to buy afterwards, thus I made it my life mission to find a recipe
that tastes just as good as those I had.
Besan Ki Barfi - I found this recipe when I was gifted a bag of Gram flour, and I didn't know what it
was or what I can make with it. I found out it's great for cookie-type baked goods! This one is an indian
sheet cookie kind of thing. Idk but it looks good, reminds me of khalva a bit.
Traditional Spaghetti alla Carbonara - I have never made it fully traditionally italian, it seemed scary to me
watching people in my uni kitchen make it, as it looked complex and finnicky. But I want to try it someday.
